Ty Newport Hotel - Newport (Gwent)

liked my 1 night stay. overall it was clean, with a private bathroom. the location was marvellous - just walking distance from everywhere i wanted to go.

Everything was brand-new, good service, marvellous location near to the restaurant. Friendly, nice people working here. Recommend for a flash stay

Great room, great breakfast, praised by both my family and I for its cleanliness and the chef's wonderful bacon.

Everything exceeded my hopes.

The bed split constantly while sleeping.

Comfortable king room with ample space, clean linens, and a cozy atmosphere. The location provides convenient access to nearby attractions for exploring without too much hassle.

Televisions in both the bar and room constantly buffered, which I found really frustrating-gotta sort that out! Parking incurs a £10 charge per night, a bummer compared to my previous stay where it was included. There was surprisingly no fridge in the room, despite having enough space for one, and the shower gel was empty at check-in, not exactly the warm welcome I hoped for.

The family room was spacious and luxurious, complete with high ceilings that gave it an airy feel. The swimming pool and beach bar were fantastic as well, making our stay relaxing and enjoyable after a long day of exploring Newport’s attractions. The quality of the breakfast stood out, especially the local Welsh eggs that added a special touch to our morning meal.

The hotel was clean, with a cozy King room and a fine shower. We enjoyed the amazing breakfast, and after hitting the golf courses at Celtic Manor Resort, we relaxed on the indoor ice rink. Perfect place for a fun getaway!

One downside was the parking fee of £10 per day.

The high ceilings in our Twin Room were amazing! Room was spacious, and breakfast was a delightful surprise with freshly made options! Only downside was parking being a bit pricey for us. 😊

The swimming pool and beach bar were awesome! The room felt luxurious with its spaciousness and high ceilings. A huge perk was the fantastic spa that was just so relaxing after a long day.

Highly recommended for families

We had an unplanned stop and that family room was a lifesaver. The buffet at breakfast? It was fantastic , especially with the fresh fruits and various coffee options.

It wasn't exactly a bargain , but the quality made it worth it.

Staying at Ty Newport was a good experience. The room radiated comfort, quiet from the car park. Though the parking was tricky, the attentive staff and excellent breakfast more than made up for it. I felt at home here, a perfect sanctuary for reflection.

The King Room offered decent space with modern decor and a comfortable bed. The powerful shower.

Parking costs £10 a night, which seems excessive, especially since it was free at a sister hotel. Ordering pizza was a bit of a hassle due to the lack of pizza boxes. I ended up needing an extra plate to cover it. Surprisingly, there was no toilet brush in the bathroom. Breakfast costs £15 per person, and there's not much in the immediate area besides a McDonald's and a Beefeater pub, which can.

I stayed in a Twin Room for 3 nights. The high ceilings, and the huge mirror was a nice touch. The shower was great too! Everything felt super new and fresh, awesome. I've stayed in a lot of hotels, but this one stood out for sure. Had a pleasant surprise with the price too, can't complain!
